Btisam:
Planning Targets:
- To be able to create detailed storyboards of every shot and reasons as to why i have selected that shot.
- To thoroughly research my chosen genre(s) and note which conventions they have used, and aim to input the shots within my own storyboard.
- Always make sure I have my storyboard completed as well as a photocopy to ensure that I am prepared if I was to lose the storyboard.
Editing Targets:
- I realise that editing isn't my strongest point, therefore with careful planning I will aim to stay behind after school hours to edit. this will not only gain my independence, but will help in future tasks.
- Watch various different film and note the different edits used. Attempt to explain why the editor has chosen the edits.
- When editing aim to make sure the simplest things are included, such as continuity.
Filming Targets:
- Take the camera out and film from different angles. Aim to use as many shots as possible to enable my exploration to flourish.
- Use the tripod more effectively. aim to use it for difficult shots
- Make use of practice round with or without the actors to save the space on the tape as well as minimise editing.

Planning Targets
- To develop my planning skills I’m going to create some storyboards with a variety of different scenes although base them mainly on the genres; action, drama and romance because these are the genres we plan to do for our coursework.
- - Focus on making my storyboards more clear in terms of camera shots etc. also to enable my storyboards to be more clear I’m going to annotate each one to allow everybody to able to see what I’m trying to convey.
- - I’m to try and create different type of storyboards for example; a storyboard just for the opening sequence to allow me titles skills to develop and get more familiar with using Final Cut Pro and what editing tools it has.
Editing Targets
- - In order to develop my editing skills I’m going to learn more tools on Final Cut Pro and practice the techniques them after school allowing me to know how to do a wider range of things, so when it comes to my coursework I can use these.
- - Using the internet and other secondary methods I’m going to research different editing techniques that professional editors use on Final Cut Pro and learn how to incorporate them in my work so I can use them for my coursework.
- - I’m going to try and learn how to use more media techniques that make the film sequence more clear what genre it is, specifically by editing the scenes. To do this I’m going to research other films, observe their editing techniques and learn how I can incorporate them into my own film sequence.
Filming Targets
- - I’m going to practice how to fully control the camera whilst zooming in and out during recording as in previous tasks I’ve find it difficult to control.
- - To increase my use of camera angles I’m going to practice different angles and learn how to still keep the camera steady whilst recording practice shots.
- - Become more familiar with the tripod and learn how to use it all levels to make filming more easy.
Rezma:
Planning target:
- To create detailed story boards with photographs, drawings, clearly showing camera shots, characters and locations in colour.
- Finding performing artists, making sure we have all the resources we need.
- To learn/use media terminology more often.
Filming target:
- To use the zoom in and out more appropriately for example zoom in really fast if I am working on a thriller to making it more shocking for the audience.
- Making sure my actors/actresses are available for all of the days I shoot rather then just one or two of those days. Again this goes with planning.
- To practice using the camera during my free time because I am incredibly unskilled with the camera and I definitely need to get better in order to help my group out.
Editing target:
- To make sure my editing has a significant meaning behind most shots. For example if the camera was to pan down really slowly, instead of cutting it all and then putting it together. I might choose to leave it and not cut it to show that someone is looking at them from head to toe.
- To stay back after college to practice editing, to get use to using final cut pro.
- To make sure there is continuity and what I am editing makes sense and looks professional.
